History

Hello, for those of you who don't know me, my name is Wayne Menezes. I'm the owner of Mr. Peepers' Ice Cream. I opened my first little store pictured above in 1998 with one objective: to give my customers the highest quality product for the absolute best price that I could. I have always believed that if you give the customer the best that you can, they'll come back. I do very little advertising - most of my customers hear about Mr. Peepers' from friends or family, and that's the best advertising that you can have! I have been in this business since 1969. Back then, I owned and operated the Carvel franchise in Seekonk. But after 19 years, I felt that I could do better for my customers if I went independent. So, in 1998 I started working with a local dairy to formulate my own ice cream recipe using only the best ingredients. After numerous attempts and after many "taste tests" with family and friends, the Mr. Peepers' Ice Cream "recipe" was born. In 2001 we moved from the Milford Plaza to our current location on GAR Highway. This really put us "on the map" and made our store much more accessable. With our own parking lot and an area where we could put tables and benches, our customers finally had a place to sit and enjoy our ice cream. We're very happy with our new store, and we hope that you are too! As you can see from the pictures on these pages, all of my cakes are labors of love. I like what I do, and folks say that it shows. Because I am a small independent, I pride myself on my customers' "special" requests. If you don't see what you want here, call me and I'll bet we can come up with something!
